Water Mains & Service
Everything between the tie-in and the meter, from mains down the right-of-way to the last service tap.
The Scope
C900 and ductile main, valves, hydrants, blowoffs, and fittings. Taps and meter settings run to the plumber's stub-out.
Wet taps keep a live main in service while the new connection goes in. Bored crossings where a road cannot be open cut. [ self-performed vs subbed · confirm ] Thrust restraint the way the detail sheet draws it, before anything sees pressure.
What Acceptance Takes
- Pressure test held at the spec number, witnessed
- Flush, chlorinate, and pass the bac-t samples
- Valves exercised and boxes set to finished grade
- As-builts for the utility's records
